If you need bags to a particular size of thickness please ask for a quote. MOQ for customs quotes would be 1000 bags. Can supply also in rolls and you cut to your own shape and size

Uses :

  • Next-Gen Anti-Static Radiation Bags: Standard electronics bags only protect against static electricity (ESD). A tin-polyimide-Mylar bag would create a “Faraday cage” that protects against static and acts as a shield against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and transient X-ray bursts.
  • Photographic & Specialty Film Protection
  • High-Value Electronics Transport & Storage

Our x line material are made from a combination of tin, mylar and polyimide

All our material comes in a standard thickness of  7mil.  For these bags, 7 mil means the bag wall thickness is 7-thousandths of an inch (0.007 inches or roughly 178 microns). It represents a heavy-duty, premium thickness engineered specifically for long-term preservation and maximum durability.

This tin-polyimide-Mylar combination creates an elite class of environmental and radiation barrier packaging.

This material simultaneously blocks X-rays/gamma rays, withstand extreme temperatures, repel static, and prevent outgassing.

When you look at tin, Mylar, and polyimide together, you are looking at the exact ingredients used to build spacecraft insulation (Multi-Layer Insulation, or MLI blankets) and high-performance aerospace radiation shields.

Individually, Mylar and polyimide are very lightweight polymers that X-rays pass right through. However, when you introduce tin into the mix, these three materials combine into a highly advanced, ultra-lightweight composite system.

How They Function Together

  • Tin (The Shielding Core): Tin has a moderately high atomic number (Z=50). It serves as the primary defense mechanism by actively absorbing and scattering low-to-mid energy X-rays.
  • Polyimide / Kapton (The Radiation-Tough Backbone): Polyimide is exceptionally resistant to high temperatures and does not degrade or become brittle under heavy radiation doses. It acts as the durable structural base.
  • Mylar (The Lightweight Barrier): Mylar (polyester) is incredibly thin, flexible, and possesses excellent tensile strength. It adds highly efficient layers of thermal and physical protection without adding unnecessary weight to the stack.

The Ways This Mix Works

  • Polyimide withstands extreme heat.
  • Tin absorbs the incoming X-rays
  • Mylar block the radiant heat

How these 3 compounds are combined

Instead of layering these compounds like a sandwich, the tin is ground into a fine nano-powder and blended it directly into the liquid polyimide and Mylar resin.

The tin powder blocks the radiation, while the polyimide and Mylar ensure the material remains chemically stable, heat-resistant, and physically flexible
